Content Rules
Last updated 21 August 2026
One billboard, one advertiser at a time, in front of everyone who comes to look. Whatever you buy goes on it, beside two faces that are not yours. These are the rules for what may go there.
Break any of them and your ad is removed immediately, permanently, and without a refund. We do not warn first and we do not argue about it. Your payment buys a placement subject to these rules — not a placement regardless of them.
The short version
Advertise something real, that you own, that you would be happy to explain to your mother. If you are wondering whether it is allowed, it probably is not.
Your link
- It must work, resolve over HTTPS, and lead to the thing you said it leads to.
- It must be a site, app, or profile you own or are authorised to advertise.
- It must stay the same. Pointing the link somewhere else after your ad goes live — a redirect, a domain change, cloaking based on who is visiting — is treated as if you had put the new destination on the board in the first place.
- No link shorteners, no redirect chains, no tracking gateways that hide the destination.
- No automatic downloads, no forced app installs, no pages that hijack the back button.
Never allowed
Any of the following ends the placement on sight:
- Slurs and hate. Racist, antisemitic, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, ableist or casteist content. Pejoratives aimed at any group. Symbols or dog whistles associated with them.
- Harassment and doxxing. Targeting a private individual. Publishing anyone's address, phone number, workplace, or other personal details. Encouraging others to pile on.
- Scams and fraud. Phishing, fake stores, counterfeit goods, cloned brands, pyramid and matrix schemes, "guaranteed returns", crypto pump-and-dumps, recovery scams, fake giveaways.
- Malware. Anything that installs, injects, mines, or exfiltrates.
- Sexual content. Pornography, nudity, escort or "adult dating" services, sexualised content of any kind.
- Content involving minors in any sexual, exploitative, or suggestive context. This is reported, not merely removed.
- Violence and extremism. Threats, incitement, terrorism, violent extremist groups, gore.
- Regulated and illegal goods. Weapons and ammunition, illegal drugs, unlicensed pharmaceuticals, stolen goods or data, forged documents, hacking or account-takeover services, essay mills, fake reviews and engagement.
- Impersonation. Passing yourself off as a brand, company, or person you are not, including using their logo or name as yours.
- Deception. Claims you cannot substantiate, invented scarcity, fake countdowns, medical or financial promises, "as seen on" badges you did not earn.
- Profanity on the board itself. Your site can say what it likes; the billboard has two faces beside it, and it stays clean.
Also not allowed
- Buying the board to attack a competitor, an individual, or a group.
- Political attack advertising, election or referendum campaigning.
- Using someone else's trademark, logo, or copyrighted image without the right to.
- Automated or scripted purchasing, or attempts to manipulate the price ladder.
- Chargebacks used as a substitute for asking us a question.
How this is enforced
We review placements and act on reports. If your ad breaks these rules we remove it from the billboard immediately and your payment is not refunded — the rules were the condition of the placement, and you agreed to them when you paid.
Depending on what you did, we may also remove or anonymise your leaderboard entry, refuse you future placements, and where the content is illegal, report it to the relevant authorities along with the payment details we hold.
We can also remove anything that is not against a specific rule above but that we do not want on the board. It is one billboard, and the final say on what goes on it is ours.
Reporting something
If a live ad breaks these rules, tell us at itsdodomedia@gmail.com and we will look at it quickly. Include the brand name and, if you can, a screenshot.
